CALS works in partnership with a wide range of other organisations to promote access to high quality, timely advice across Leicester and Leicestershire. We also play a leading role in promoting collaboration between advice agencies across the East Midlands region in order to support the wider development of the advice sector. For example, CALS is currently the lead organisation for the East Midlands Money Advice project as well as the East Midlands Immigration Network.
CALS seeks to empower clients by promoting self-help where appropriate, while providing casework support for those who find it more difficult to manage matters independently. We are committed to offering an accessible service that is available to all sections of the population, irrespective of race, gender, age, disability, sexuality or means. Due to funding restrictions, some of our services may be limited to residents of specific geographical areas.
We strive to bring about changes in social policy through participation in consultation, debate and challenge.
