Supporting Leicester and Leicestershire since 1979
Are you interested in joining our Board of Directors and helping to shape our future development? We are looking for people who share our aims and values and are willing to contribute their skills and experience to the Board on a voluntary basis.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for setting our strategy, for scrutinising ourperformance and for ensuring that our resources are used effectively to deliver our charitable objectives. The Board actively supports the CEO, the senior management team and wider organisation in the delivery of its mission and aims.

We are eager to ensure that our Board reflects the diversity of the community that we serve, and we welcome trustees from all backgrounds. We would love to have a conversation with anyone who is committed to our vision and wants to contribute, but we are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in any of the following areas:

Strategy Development
Governance and Board Development
Finance
Fundraising
Marketing & Communications
Community Partnerships
Human Resources
Lived experience of any of the challenges faced by our clients
Board meetings are usually held on a quarterly basis, with an Annual General Meeting and an annual strategy away day. Board members are encouraged to join at least one of the Board's sub-committees, and may be invited to attend additional ad hoc meetings as required.

This is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
If you are interested in joining our Board of Trustees, or if you would like to find out more, you can download our trustee recruitment pack here.
Please contact trustee.recruitment@advice-cals.org.uk to arrange an initial conversation with the CEO, attaching a brief summary of any professional and/or personal experience that may be relevant to the role.
